Yes — and the important part is what not to change. Keep your existing <CuteWebUI:Uploader> / <CuteWebUI:UploadAttachments> markup and your FileUploaded, Items and args.OpenStream() code exactly as they are: the CuteWebUI namespace in 5.3 is the drop-in path, with every 4.x property, event and client-side hook (getqueuecount(), CuteWebUI_AjaxUploader_OnPostback) verified against the 4.0 assembly. Reference CuteWebUI.AjaxUploader.dll from the package's legacy/ folder alongside AjaxUploader.dll.

The <au:> tags you see across the demos are the new API for new pages. Do not port working 4.x pages to them just to upgrade — that rewrite is where upgrades go wrong, and it is optional. See the v4 compatibility demos (the 4.0 sample pages running unmodified on 5.3) and the migration guide.
